A proud graduate of the Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) and a current performer in the company at Story Pirates, Mike Cabellon has starred in several commercials, and has co-starred in both HBO's Crashing, directed by Judd Apatow and starring Pete Holmes, as well as HBO's High Maintenance. Upcoming projects include season 2 of Netflix's Tiara project, and a supporting role in The First Purge.
In 2017, Mike's web series Night Crew was chosen as an official selection for the New York Television Festival. It is currently in development with Comedy Central. The series was co-written by and co-stars the sketch team GEIL, who together have appeared on the front page of FunnyOrDie, as well as screened sketches at Quickie Fest and Red Hot Video Fun Time. In 2016, GEIL wrote and starred in Meet the CEOs: A Start-Up Musical, directed by Juan Nicolón (UCB's Maude Night, Univision's Flama), which ran at both the Peoples Improv Theater and the Annoyance Theatre in New York, as well as once at Austin Sketch Fest in 2017.
Other digital appearances include a lead role in the web series Kombucha Catch-Up, as well as sketches by Fenton & Grace, Nanners Comedy, and Claires.
As a member of the BoogieManja sketch comedy program for 4 seasons, Mike has performed with the teams Pencils Down, Rig, American Danger, and most recently Buff Cousins, who perform a brand new sketch show every month at the PIT Loft in NYC.
Mike has been hosting weekly bar quizzes for 5 years now with Geeks Who Drink. He has performed on stages all over New York City, including the Del Close Marathon, Comedy Hack Day, Frigid Fest (part of the US Association of Fringe Festivals), UCB's 3x3 Tournament, NYC Improv Festival, SHRTWV Short Theater Festival, and the Penn Station Area Sketch Fest.
